Abstract
The mass spectrometric behaviour of eight omega-hydroxyalkyltriphenylp hosphonium bromides was studied,vith the aid of mass-analysed ion kine tic energy spectrometry and high resolution data under fast-atom bomba rdment ionization, The fragmentation mechanism of a series of fragment ions at m/z 275, 289, 303,... is described in detail, All the compoun ds show [2M+Br](+) ions because of association by hydrogen (C) 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
