Abstract
We report on 3 cases of stone formation in the prostatic urethra after cryosurgical ablation of the prostate. This complication occurred lat e in the course, many months after the normal postoperative healing pr ocess apparently was finished and patients enjoyed normal voiding. Tra nsrectal ultrasound proved to be useful in making the diagnosis. Treat ment included lithotripsy and cold resection of residual dead tissue. (C) 1997, Elsevier Science Inc. All rights reserved.
