Abstract
Polymeric coatings were obtained by electron-beam curing of urethane-a crylate oligomers with reactive diluents. Their photochemical stabilit y have been studied using monochromatic radiation at lambda = 254 nm. The weathering tests were also performed. The photodegradation is beli eved to be initiated by the Norrish type I reaction of ester group pre sent in the polymers. The highly crosslinked films obtained from the a liphatic urethane-acrylate oligomer were found to display relatively h igh photochemical stability.
