Resonance Raman (RR) data on five-coordinate manganese-, iron-, and co
balt (porphyrin)Oz formed in low temperature matrices are collected. M
etal ion effect on dioxygen adduct structures is shown based on charac
teristic nu(O-O) and nu(metal-O) frequencies. Formation of side-on and
/or end-on structures of coordinated dioxygen is discussed.
