Abstract
In this short article we describe the use of a cotton tape tie in lapa roscopic colorectal surgery. This technique is useful in: (i) retracti on and manipulation of the bowel; (ii) exteriorization of a bulky spec imen; and (iii) occlusion of the rectal lumen to permit effective cyto cidal rectal lavage.
