Abstract
Relative fission cross sections were obtained for Be-9 + U-238 and Be- 11 + U-238. The results were analysed within a coupled-channel model. The fission excitation function for Be-9 + U-238 agrees with the fusio n theoretical calculation while the fission excitation function for Be -11 + U could not be reproduced by a simple fusion calculation.
