Abstract
The effect of 1-6 at% Al additions to a sintered Nd-Fe-B magnet on its corrosion behaviour was tested. The additions do not influence the ma gnet's corrosion behaviour in the active state and cause beneficial ef fects in the passive state. The Al additions inhibit atmospheric corro sion of the magnets. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Limited.
