Abstract
The results of investigations of the treeing resistance of cable insul ation made from crosslinked polyethylene are described. The addition o f an inorganic filler to crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) increases the treeing of cable insulation. The life of XLPE cable insulation is dep endent on its molecular structure.
