Abstract
A more precise numerical analytical layer method for analysing an elec tromagnetic field is described. The method has been used to develop a mathematical model of induction motors with ferromagnetic elements (IM FE). Calculation of electromechanical characteristics, carried out wit h the help of the method described, and experimental tests of IMFE wit h varied geometry, dimensions, pole design and rotor material and for different fields of application have confirmed the adequacy of the mat hematical model adopted and allowed it to be recommended for the desig n of machines of this class. The method proposed can also be used for calculating the characteristics of symmetrical synchronous machines wi th ceramic magnets and capacitor synchronous motors with solid ferroma gnetic rotors, as well as for calculating losses due to high harmonics in turbogenerators.
