Abstract
Galactic latitudes and photographic magnitudes for large samples (N si milar to 3600-12,000) of OB stars within 10 degrees of the galactic pl ane and 4 kpc of the Sun have been used to estimate the Sun's displace ment Z(0) from the galactic plane. Reasonable choices of average absol ute magnitudes and extinction parameters limit Z(0) to not less than s imilar to 6 nor more than similar to 13 pc, with Z(0) = 10-12 pc most likely.
