Abstract
Dietary fibres are able to affect lipids profiles in humans. The solub le and partly soluble fibres have mainly been studied in this purpose. Although hyperlipidaemia are known in dogs, there are few studies on the subject. The mechanisms by which fibres are involved are discussed with a particular emphasis on bile secretion.
