R. Bennahmias et al., THE INSULATING COVER, A PARTICULAR LOGISTIC MEANS FOR THERMOSENSITIVEFOODSTUFFS, International journal of refrigeration, 20(5), 1997, pp. 359-366
Thermal protection efficiency of different insulating paletts-covers w
ere tested in a particular logistic process, such as interfaces betwee
n refrigerated transport/platform/ delivery where the temperature (amb
iante) was uncontrolled. The overall coefficient of heat transfert (K)
of these covers was measured. The experiments were carried out with i
ndividual pallets placed in a test room with a control temperature, an
d in a tot liner trailer placed in a test tunnel controlled at +25 deg
rees C. This paper emphasizes the advantages and the disadvantages of
use in an exclusive sense (thermal protection, mecanical resistance, l
ogistics conditions, ...). (C) Elsevier Science Ltd and IIR.
