A mathematical model, combining the general method of analysis for met
al-working processes according to Hill with the method of reduction to
ordinary differential equations following Kantorovich is formulated f
or powder densification processes. The model is verified by comparing
it to die ring compacting simulation using the finite element method (
FEM). It was found that the results of the analytical model were in ve
