Abstract
The Prospective Randomized Evaluation of the Vascular Effects of Norva sc Trial is the first angiographic clinical trial to be designed to te st whether an agent can slow or even reverse the progression of early coronary atherosclerosis in patients with documented disease, In addit ion, a subset of patients are undergoing carotid ultrasound examinatio ns, providing a unique opportunity to assess and correlate disease pro gression in 2 arterial beds.
