Recently, the number of transfer splicing works on metallic cables has
increased according to the accelerating deployments of optical access
systems installed outdoors. The improvement in the current hand splic
ing works has been demanded to efficiently transfer presently installe
d cables. We will report on newly developed connectors for the purpose
along with a major revisions on the procedures of the PAT connection
works on poles.
