M. Kohler et al., THE EVAPORATIVE LIGHT-SCATTERING DETECTOR - SOME APPLICATIONS IN PHARMACEUTICAL ANALYSIS, TrAC. Trends in analytical chemistry, 16(8), 1997, pp. 475-484
The evaporative light scattering detector allows direct detection of a
ll non-volatile compounds regardless of their chemical structure, and
therefore it is a valuable tool to determine compounds without chromop
hores. This detector can be coupled to liquid chromatography and packe
d supercritical fluid chromatography. In this article, the principles
are described and some examples of application to pharmaceutical analy
sis are given.
