Abstract
Classical transacetalation of trehalose with 2,2-dimethoxyalkanes lead s conveniently to a new class of acetals of a great potential due to t heir detergent properties. The control of the mono- or di-functionaliz ation was possible. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
