K. Moffat et Z. Ren, SYNCHROTRON-RADIATION APPLICATIONS TO MACROMOLECULAR CRYSTALLOGRAPHY, Current opinion in structural biology, 7(5), 1997, pp. 689-696
Progress has been rapid in the development and application of four dif
ferent types of macromolecular crystallographic experiment at synchrot
ron hard X-ray sources: multiwavelength anomalous diffraction; studies
of crystals with very large unit cell dimensions; structure determina
tion at atomic or near-atomic resolution; and time-resolved studies. T
he results illustrate the interplay between the advanced technical cap
abilities available at new beamlines and more challenging scientific i
ssues. (C) Current Biology Ltd ISSN 0959-440X
