We report the results of a Al-27 nuclear magnetic resonance study of i
cosahedral quasicrystalline Al70Re8.6Pd21.4 at temperatures between 0.
04 and 300 K and in magnetic fields between 1.5 and 7 T. At very low t
emperatures we have found that the temperature dependence of the spin-
lattice relaxation rate T-1(-1)(T) shows new and unexpected features w
hich we associate with a gradual real-space localization of the itiner
ant charge carriers. Above 20 K, T-1(-1)(T) contains both a linear- an
d a cubic-in-T term, previously observed for other quasicrystals.
