Abstract
A simple model of an optical fibre based folded bus network for applic ation as a time division multiplexed interconnect for computer work st ations is presented. The model predicts the best positioning of discre te amplifiers to achieve the power budget requirements, as well as the optimum coupling ratios for the couplers on the bus.
