Mp. Robichon et al., PLANT-REGENERATION OF IVY LEAVED GERANIUM THROUGH SHOOT ORGANOGENESIS, Plant cell, tissue and organ culture, 49(3), 1997, pp. 209-212
Regeneration from petioles and leaf blades was studied for seven genot
ypes of Pelargonium peltatum. Multiple adventitious shoots were produc
ed using wide range of thidiazuron concentrations. Somatic embryos wer
e produced from callus-derived cell suspensions from 3 genotypes, with
a combination of 0.45 mu M thidiazuron and 20 mu M alpha-naphthalenea
cetic acid in liquid medium. Regenerants were rooted and transferred t
o soil where they showed a normal phenotype.
