Abstract
Tridentella williamsi Delaney, 1990, is shown to be a junior synonym o f Aega ornata Richardson, 1911. As Tridentella ornata, the species is recorded from five different host fish species, from the Gulf of Mexic o and the Caribbean. The presence of pleotelsonic pits is documented a nd briefly discussed. The distribution and host information of the 14 known species of Tridentella are provided.
