Abstract
The influence of Coulomb collisions on the dynamics of ECR interaction in the superadiabatic regime is examined. An expression for the elect ron diffusion coefficient in phase space is derived for the limiting c ases of strong (the linear ECR interaction regime) and weak (the nonli near regime) collisions. In the case of strong collisions, it is shown that the diffusion coefficient coincides with the familiar coefficien t obtained in the random phase approximation. Tn the case of weak coll isions, the electron diffusion coefficient turns out to be smaller tha n the familiar quasilinear diffusion coefficient.
