Abstract
The structure of the nucleosome core particle has been determined by X -ray crystallography at 2.8 Angstrom resolution. The structure has sev eral significant surprises, and provides important new insights into t he structure and function of chromatin. (C) Current Biology Ltd ISSN 0 960-9822.
