Abstract
This paper presents numerical and experimental studies of the shaping of plane-parallel optical items on a device for two-sided processing. The geometrical, kinematic, and force adjustment parameters of the dev ice that affect the accuracy of the processed surfaces are established . The character of the deviation of the surface of the workpiece from flatness is found as a function of the processing conditions. (C) 1997 The Optical Society of America. [S1070-9762(97)01209-8].
