The locality of Campo has yielded a mammalian faunule well dated as Th
anetian. The faunule is dominated by the new hyopsodontid condylarth P
aschatherium yvettae n. sp. which is the oldest described species of t
he genus. Magnetostratigraphic data allow the direct correlation of th
e locality with the Upper Tiffanian of North America.
