Hj. Bullinger, PARADIGM CHANGE IN PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT - NEW LEAD CONCEPTS TOWARDS HIGHER COMPETITIVENESS IN TECHNOLOGY-BASED ENTERPRISES, International journal of production economics, 52(1-2), 1997, pp. 215-225
In this article new paradigms of production management are described.
They involve all departments of a company along the line of the added
value chain. Especially decentralised and independently responsible se
gments form the basis of the new kind of successful companies. An exam
ple of a decentralised company structure is given, where the decentral
ised group work has great advantages because of the positive strategic
effects on customer orientation, on employee and group motivation as
well as on manageability.
