Abstract
Algae has been examined as a feed additive for fish. Dietary algae acc elerate the assimilation of ascorbic acid in fish and improve the phys iological conditions related to vitamin C nutrition. Consequently, lip id metabolism especially lipolysis, is improved. The effects of dietar y algae on improvement of lipid metabolism may be partly explained by the synergistic effect with vitamin C.
