Abstract
The following case report shows a cognitive-behavioral treatment of a 33-year-old nurse, working for an international organization, who suff ered from a posttraumatic stress disorder. The treatment includes proc edures described in the Cognitive Restructuring and Prolonged Exposure Manual of E. B. Foa et al. The program consists of nine daily treatme nt sessions. The treatment results are presented, including psychometr ic outcome measures. The therapy and the treatment manual are debated in the light of the ongoing discussion about a state-of-the-art therap y for posttraumatic stress disorder.
