Abstract
A 63-year-old man with subtotal occlusion of both pulmonary arteries c aused by thromboembolism was treated by infrarenal placement of an inf rarenal caval Greenfield filter and pulmonary thrombectomy by the Ampl atz device (ATD). Thrombectomy decreased the mean pulmonary artery pre ssure from 50 mmHg to 16 mmHg. This is the first report of a successfu l recanalization of both pulmonary arteries by the ATD via an access t hrough the right internal jugular vein.
