Abstract
The reaction of zirconocene dichloride, Cp2ZrCl2, and bis(indenyl) met al dichloride, Ind(2)MCl(2) (M = Zr, Hf), with one and two equivalents , respectively, of indenyl or fluorenyl lithium leads to sterically cr owded complexes with three or four potential pi-ligands (1: Cp2Zr(Ind) Cl; 2: Cp2Zr(Ind)(2); 3: Ind(3)ZrCl; 4: Ind(3)HfCl; 5: Ind(2)Zr(Flu)Cl ). Compound 4 was characterized by an X-ray structure analysis.
