Treatment of the cyclopentadienylsilanes [C5X4(SiMe2H)]Mn(CO)(3) (X=Br
, Cl, H) and [C5Br3(SiMe2H)(2)]Mn(CO)(3) with PdCl2 yields the corresp
onding chlorosilanes 1a-c and 2. From these and alcohols CnH2n+1OH (n=
1-10) the cymantrenyl-alkoxysilanes [C5X4(SiMe2OR)]Mn(CO)(3) 3-5 and [
