The Zintl anion Sn-9(4-) reacts with [Cp(CO)(2)Fe]Sn to form [Cp(CO)(2
)Fe](3)Sn-OH (1), which has been fully characterized. X-ray analysis s
hows that 1 is monomer and that the hydroxo-group is singly coordinate
d with an Sn-O distance of 2.017(7)Angstrom. NMR-spectroscopic studies
show a fast exchange of the hydrogen atoms of the hydroxo-group. Reac
tion of Sn-9(4-) with elemental tellurium leads to the formation of th
e anion [Te2Sn(mu(2)-Te)(2)SnTe2](4-) (2a) and by addition of Me3NO to
[Sn(mu(2)-Te)(3)Sn](2-) (3a). X-ray analysis of K-2[K-(2,2,2-crypt)](
2)Sn2Te6.1en shows, that an has a diborane-type structure. All compoun
ds have been characterized by H-1-,C-13-,Sn-119-, and Te-125-NMR spect
roscopy.
