Abstract
Three-component coupling reactions of aldehydes, hydroxylamines, and a lkenes proceeded smoothly in the presence of a catalytic amount of a l anthanide triflate, to afford isoxazolidine derivatives in high yields with high diastereoselectivities. The asymmetric 1,3-dipolar cycloadd ition using a chiral lanthanide catalyst is also described.
