Magnetic properties of Li2BeH4 have been investigated as a function of
temperature T, in a magnetic field H up to 1 Tesla. Field cooled and
zero-field cooled measurements give evidence of irreversibilities that
have been explored versus T and H. These first results can be tentati
vely analyzed in terms of a type-II superconductivity with a critical
temperature Tc approximate to 350 K, It must be made clear however tha
t the data do not allow us in any way to conclude that Li2BeH4 is a su
perconductor: In particular data are lacking to determine the physical
origin of the irreversibilities. In this note, we only intend to show
that the magnetic properties are so uncommon that they warrant more e
ffort in the preparation of Li2BeH4, so that we can pursue the investi
gation of ifs physical properties.
