M. Rupprecht et T. Probst, EMPLOYING MULTIVARIATE CALIBRATION FOR THE DETERMINATION OF RADIONUCLIDES BY INDUCTIVELY-COUPLED PLASMA-MASS SPECTROMETRY, Fresenius' journal of analytical chemistry, 359(4-5), 1997, pp. 442-445
A method for the simultaneous ICP-MS determination of alpha- and beta-
emitting radionuclides in acid digested samples of concrete without fu
rther sample pretreatment is presented. Spectral and non-spectral inte
rferences are corrected fol by combining systematic internal standardi
zation with bilinear multivariate calibration. Consequently, especiall
y for radionuclides with long half-lives, ICP-MS is an alternative to
radiometric analytical methods. The optimal multivariate calibration a
pproach is the PLS1-model with preselected variables.
