L. Piraux et al., TEMPLATE SYNTHESIS OF NANOSCALE MATERIALS USING THE MEMBRANE POROSITY, Nuclear instruments & methods in physics research. Section B, Beam interactions with materials and atoms, 131(1-4), 1997, pp. 357-363
The template strategy combined with electrodeposition techniques have
been successfully used to produce nanoscale objects in the cylindrical
pores of track-etched polycarbonate membranes. Using this method, nan
ometer-size metallic wires, conductive polymer nanotubules, supercondu
cting nanowires and quasi-one-dimensional magnetic multilayers have be
en fabricated. These nanoscale materials exhibit physical properties d
ifferent from those found in the bulk.
