Aa. Benditskii et Ps. Kondratenko, ESTIMATE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF REDUCING THE ERROR IN DETERMINING DISTANCES USING THE OPTOACOUSTIC RANGING METHOD, Measurement techniques, 40(3), 1997, pp. 233-236
A theoretical investigation was made of the possibility of minimizing
the error in the optoacoustic ranging method by performing calibration
measurements of the velocity of sound in air over a finite number of
segments. The dependences of the resulting errors on the number of mon
itored segments, their lengths, and the distance to the path of the ma
in acoustic signal were established.
