Abstract
A series of industrial wastes can be turned to good account by burning in special installations, ensuring it a corresponding stay duration, an intimate contact between the waste and the combustion air, as well as the retention possibility for the noxes resulting from burning. The paper presents the laboratory trials on the burning of high sulphur c ontent petroleum coke in a fluidized bed in autothermal regime, as wel l at the main working parameters. The laboratory installation where th e first petroleum coke burning trials were made, as well as the temper ature diagrams, traced function of the time during coke burning, are a lso presented. The paper also specifies the physico-chemical character istics for other types of wastes, that can be turned to higher value b y burning.
