Abstract
The effect of radiation, coming from the heated front of the convergin g shock, on the central temperature of a sonoluminescing bubble is cal culated using the simple model of an imploding hot shell. The importan ce of transport phenomena in the description of sonoluminescence is un derlined, and other aspects related to radiation are also discussed. ( C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
