Abstract
The magnetic, electrical, thermoelectric, and mechanical properties of austenitic-martensitic steel are studied for various heat-treatment r egimes. The influence that variations in the chemical composition with in the limits of the given mark of steel and the holding time at room temperature between quenching and cold working have on those propertie s is investigated. The possibility of using nondestructive methods to check the structure and mechanical properties of products is explored.
