Abstract
Gunnar Rolla's contributions to oral science cover an enormous range. They include research into the basic understanding of pellicle and pla que formation, to mechanisms for the prevention of oral diseases. Roll a has collaborated with over 100 persons from many different countries and thus his influence on dental research has been global.
