Abstract
The heavy-quark expansion in QCD has become a widely used tool in heav
y-quark physics. The theoretical aspects of the 1/m(Q) expansion (m(Q)
being the mass of the heavy quark) and some techniques that appear in
practical calculations are reviewed. Some applications to processes i
nvolving heavy quark decays are discussed.
