Abstract
An overview of Compton suppression neutron activation analysis (NAA) i s given. The basic theory of the technique, its experimental design, u niqueness, and limitations are discussed. Experimental data showing it s usefulness for the low level determination of several key elements i n environmental samples that can not be obtained using conventional no n-destructive neutron activation is deliberated.
