Abstract
The lifetime tau(ph) of magnetoelastic oscillations was studied in the frequency range 6-7 MHz in an 'easy-plane' antiferromagnet FeBO3 at t emperatures 85-300 K. The dependences of tau(ph) on magnetic held, fre quency and temperature are described by a phenomenological theory of r elaxation for coupled oscillations of magnetic and elastic subsystems of a crystal. The observed growth of damping of magnetoelastic vibrati ons due to nonhomogeneous deformations in the sample is also in agreem ent with the theory.
