Rs. Silva et al., ITERATIVE LOCAL SOLVERS FOR DISTRIBUTED KRYLOV-SCHWARZ METHOD APPLIEDTO CONVECTION-DIFFUSION PROBLEMS, Computer methods in applied mechanics and engineering, 149(1-4), 1997, pp. 353-362
Nowadays, supercomputers can be used to solve large-scale problems tha
t come from simulation of industrial or research problems. However, th
ose machines ale usually inacessible to most industries and university
laboratories around the world. In this work we present an iterative s
olver, a Krylov-Schwarz Method (KSM), to be used in a collection of wo
rkstations under PVM. The subdomain problems are solved by using many
methods in order to show how the choice of the local solvers affects t
he overall performance of the distributed KSM.
