MORPHOLOGIC STUDIES OF NANOCRYSTALLINE CDSE THIN-FILMS

Nanocrystalline particulate CdSe thin films with different particle si zes were prepared by chemical deposition. Optical absorption spectra b lue shifted with the decrease of particle size proving a pronounced qu antum size effect. SEM and STM imaging were used to examine the surfac e morphology, particle size and shape. The photoelectrochemical activi ty was revealed by micro area photocurrent spectrum.
