Lead titanate ceramics fine powders modified with several rare earth (
La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu) were prepared by hydrothermal method, The transfor
mation between tetragonal (ferroelectric) phase and cubic (paraelectri
c) phase for the La-doped PbTiO3 solid solution was investigated, Curi
e' temperature of the PT solid solution with x(La)=0.04 and y(Mn) 0.01
was ca. 400 degrees C. The dependences between rare earth-doping cont
ent and piezoelectric properties of PT solid solutions were determined
. The d(33) increased, while g(33), k(t) and k(t)/k(p) decreased with
increasing rare earth-doping content in PT solid solutions.
