Sf. Koval, THE CATALOG OF NEAR-ISOGENIC LINES OF NOVOSIBIRSKAYA-67 COMMON WHEAT AND PRINCIPLES OF THEIR USE IN EXPERIMENTS, Genetika, 33(8), 1997, pp. 1168-1173
On the basis of a recurrent parent, the pure line of Novosibirskaya-67
common wheat (Triticum aestivum L. var. albidum), a series BC9 compri
sing 65 near-isogenic lines was obtained. This series includes lines m
arked by resistance to brown rust (Puccinia recondita Rob ex Desm) and
powdery mildew (Erysiphe graminis D.S.), morphological traits, plant
habitus, and the duration of developmental stages. The residual contam
ination with the donor genetic material was shown in some lines. To ex
clude the influence of genetic contamination, parallel isogenic lines
(A, B, C), which carried the same marker from different donors, were i
ncluded in the series. It was concluded that the phenotypic difference
s between parallel lines were due to contamination nonlinked with the
marker, while uniform distinction from their recurrent parent was acco
unted for by the genetic marker.
