CYSTIC LYMPHANGIOMAS OF THE ABDOMEN

Abdominal cystic lymphangiomas are benign tumors originating from lymp hatic vessels, which may appear as complications. We report seven case s, which were discovered in the following circumstances: abdominal tum or (3 cases), surgical emergency (3 cases) and fortuitously (1 case). Ultrasonography was performed in 6 cases and showed a liquid mass in 5 cases. Cystic resection was performed in all cases, with adjoining in testinal resection in two cases. The diagnosis of this unusual disorde r is based on ultrasonography, computerized tomography and histologica l examination of the cyst, and the prognosis is good.
